SS 5x5 core broke

Hey, haven't been on here for awhile so I just had something happen that I thought is kinda weird.

But anyway... My 5x5 just broke. I don't mean pieces but the core. Here's a picture.

I'm just first wondering is that normally for a core to break?
And what do you guys think I should do? Buy a new core? Clean the puzzle out and relube it?
Or just buy a new SS and remod that one and do it better and then lube it.
Or should I just do both and have two 5x5 and sell one. If I do, do both would anyone like to buy one?

I think the core on the SS 5x5 is weak. I had to change mine, but it did only have a crack in one of the arms. I would just get a new core, saving you the time of modding a new cube.

Do you know if it comes with screws/springs? Several of mine stripped...

I would just buy a new one, and use the core from it on your already modded pieces, saves the time of having to mod a whole new cube.

Alright, I'll be most likely buying a new core. What core do you guys recommend?
