HI,
i was wondering if anyone has noticed that some of the pll algs on speedsolving wiki don't work. is just me or has anyone else noticed it. what can i do about this?
Thank you

They all work to my knowledge. You may be doing some moves wrong, could you provide us with the some of the ones that don't work?

Yes, I have noticed. It is true that many dont work "as shown"

Some people are not paying attention when they enter them. I've seen
1) Put into wrong case.. like it should be an "Na" but its in "Nb"
2) There are AUF's or cube rotations to setup before the alg can be applied.
sometimes people include them sometimes they don't. The issue is that it is not consistent.

For the most part however, they all work.

But I am thankful that people are entering any of them at all. I mean we cant complain too much about it right?

The easiest solution would be to just pick a different alg that does work.

Keep in mind that the wiki is edited by everyone, so there may be some mistakes from time to time. If you find a mistake and know how to correct it, please do.

Additionally, we are working on a system that checks the algorithms that are entered to verify that they are indeed valid (thanks for Cride5). This should be implemented in the next month or so.

Here's one listed under Nb. I can't get it to work.
R' U R U' R' F' U' F R U R' U' R' d R U R'

Despite what everyone else is recommending, that alg is not meant to be R' U R U' R' F' U' F R U R' F R' F' R U' R

This is Jason Baum's (correct me if I'm wrong) old variation of that algorithm:
R' U R U' R' F' U' F R U R' U' R d' R U R'

Bolded the part that should be changed. I don't use this, but you guys knock yourselves out.

One way to verify is to reverse the algorithm, it should get into the case you want to solve.

Another way is to just repeatedly do the algorithm, also should get into the case you want when repeated enough times.

If so, then it is just a matter of changing the U position.
