Speedsolving Undecathlon 2024

[OtaMota]

Hi guys, I am thinking of making a forum comp that promotes well roundedness. After watching a video of some people doing a track and field decathlon, I wanted to bring it to cubing. If you get first place in an event, you get 100 points, and everyone else receives points proportional to how much slower you are to first. If you did an event in double the amount of time to first place, you get half the points (50 points) After doing all the events, I will tally up the scores, and see who won. The following events will be offered. These events are the 11 most popular events in terms of most likely to be found in a comp. https://statistics.worldcubeassociation.org/statistics-list/most-competitions

3x3
2x2
4x4
Pyra
OH
3x3 BLD
5x5
Square-1
Skewb
Megaminx
Clock

The form to sign up: https://forms.gle/G77dQQKLEy5gRY24A
Start time: Feb 29, or if the comp has 10+ people registered, it will start on Feb 22 instead.

[randomness...]

i signed it, i want to do pyra, skewb, 2x2, and 4x4 plz

[Clock_Enthusiast]

There is no clock and clocks are round, so it scientifically cannot be a well-rounded competition.

[An Animating Cuber]

I also signed up I'll do all except 3Bld

[Bingus cuber]

I’ll do everything but megaminx and 3 blind

[cubenerd74]

I'll do everything except mega

[siwoo]

I'll do everything except mega

same for me, im terrible at mega

[JDAW6]

I’ll do everyth8bg except mega,3bld,squan and 5x5.

[GloopyGum]

I assume everything's going to be ao5 format right?
(Except for 3bld, which would be bo3)

Yes

[Skewby_Doo]

Signed up, I'll do everything except 3BLD.

[Super_Cuber903]

Remove bld and add clock

[Enirolf]

I would like to do all events except 3bld

[OtaMota]

Remove bld and add clock

But considering there are 4 BLD events in the WCA, it isn't really well roundedness unless there is a BLD event in this comp. Clock is only clock.

[2x2MasterYT]

I'll do 3x3, 2x2, 4x4, Pyra, OH, and Skewb!

And Clock if it becomes avalible

Wow, we already have more than 10 people, so I guess the comp will start on the 22nd. If this comp gets 20 competitors before the 22nd, the comp will start right away.

Also, there have been some interest in clock. If the interest of clock is high enough, I may consider making this an Undecathalon and adding clock. If you would like clock to be offered, please say so in this thread. I already have @2x2MasterYT's vote and maybe @Super_Cuber903 if they plan to join the comp if clock is offered.

[NmeCuber]

I would like to register for all but 3bld

[BVCuber13]

I just registered, and I’ll do all events including clock if it’s added
