If the pay doesn't keep the site up is there a chance that the site will go down for a bit of time or forever? that would make me sad :(
I suspect this is all up to pjk. I hope that he will allow someone else from the community to take it over if he ever decides to give it up. It has really been a wonderful part of the community, and its history and continuity (being a significant part of the cubing community since early 2006) is a really great thing to have.

For now, he has been very consistent in keeping it going and giving it the support it needs. I'm very grateful to him for it.

For what its worth, here is my opinion/suggestions for the forum awards.

  1. I don't see any reason for this years' not to follow past precedent and have a larger number of categories. More options means more people can win. I know you mentioned you didn't want anyone to think you were copy/pasting other work, but I can't see anyone actually being bothered. If you think having more categories would be too much work, I am sure a few other members would love to help you out.
  2. Since this is supposed to be for the whole forum, it might even be best for it to be more collaborative. Perhaps have a poll to see if people want more categories or less and start/end dates.
  3. The original post doesn't mention any dates. When does the nomination round end? When does voting for the winners end? How many votes does one need in order to make it out of the nomination round?

i isn’t a real number, silly
i is the square root of any negative number.
