Week 1: 4 June, 2025

Hi, members of the Speedsolving.com Forums. I am here today to introduce a new Forum game I thought would be interesting. As suggested by the name, Clans or Teams are introduced.

JOINING AND CREATIONS OF CLANS

All participating members are granted 100🪙 to start with. This currency gives you the purchasing power, outside of clans, of the following items:

1. Create a Clan

Creating a Clan costs 50 🪙. You will automatically become the Clan Leader. As a Leader you will have benefits, such as a higher income. If you want other members to join, you may invite them or they may also request to join. You will need to set a Join Fee, which can be anywhere between 10 🪙 and 100 🪙, and is able to be changed at any time later on.

If you wish to create a Clan, please reply to this thread with the name of the Clan, it's Clan Tag (four characters, alphanumeric, it will be formatted like [A1B2]), it's icon (preferably square) and the Join Fee.

You may at this point invite other Members for your Clan by pinging them in the message, it is then entirely their choice if they wish to accept or decline. If they choose to accept they will still have to pay the full Join Fee and will still be titled as a regular member.

You will also have to wait for your Clan to be approved, basically whenever I get online, notice a new Clan and add it onto the first message and into the governmental system and similar items.
Clans may only have up to 5 members. If you can cumulatively pool 1,000 🪙 then the maximum member count will be extended to 10 for your Clan.

2. Join a Clan

Another starting option is to simply join a Clan and become one of its members opposed to its leader. You will have to pay the Join fee set by your Clan Leader.

If they have invited you into their Clan by pinging you in a message within this thread, then you may either accept or decline. If you accept you will still need to pay the entirety of the set join fee.

ELECTIONS

If you wish to become the Leader of a Clan then you may hold an election. Each member of your Clan holds one vote each to vote for any of the candidates. This includes the candidates and they may vote for themselves if they please. The election will last five days and even if not all members have voted, the election will end and the most voted candidate becomes Leader.

In the scenario where no one has voted after the 5 day period, the current Leader will remain. If there are no candidates after the current Leader resigns, then they are forced back into the position. Another election for your Clan shall follow one week after the Leader had originally stepped down. If the results stay the same in which there are no other candidates, then the Leader will yet again remain as Leader. Another election will not follow suit and the next election to be held, if any, will be if a candidate steps up.

If there is only one candidate, then they will be automatically elected. If the current Leader resigns then an election will automatically be held. If the Clan Leader is not active within the past 3 weeker, an election will be held and the current Leader will not be able to be voted due to their inactivity. If the Leader comes online in-between the election starting (which in turn begins once exactly three weeks has past since you Leader's last activity) and the final vote being cast (i.e. all members have finished voting) then the current Leader will become a candidate.

WEEKLY CLAN WAR

CLAN WARS WILL NOT START WITHIN THE FIRST FEW WEEKS!

Every week on Monday (GM+12), 3 random WCA Events will be selected. If your Clan Leader wishes to partake in the Clan War, then themselves and any of their members may participate. If the Leader does not wish to, then their Clan shall not participate. If your Clan Leader does not wish for your Clan to participate in the Clan War or does not manage to respond in time for the War, 10% rounded shall be taken from each member of the Clan.

Three days afterwards, on Thursday, registration closes and the Clan War begins. All participating members should, by this Thursday, been listed and been given an enemy Clan to face. They each have until the next Monday to compete using the scrambles on the Speedsolving.com Weekly of the events randomly generated earlier.

While each Clan is given a Clan to verse, individual members inside both Clans will face eacother as well, the fastest versing the fastest, second fasting versing the second fastest and so on. If there are a differentiating number of members between the Clans versing eachother then members of the larger Clan may vote themselves to sit out of this Clan War. This should hopefully not happen often as Clans will equal or similar numbers will be prioritized in versing each other. Because the order of the Clans versing each other (i.e. who against who) will be generated By a wheel/a random team generator website, there would also preferably be different pools for different Clan numbers (e.g. all Clans with 3 members in one pool, all 4 member Clans versed separately, though if there is a single 5 member Clan then they will be placed in the 4 member pool).

Each Clan member of both sides should know how to solve each of the puzzles for the week, otherwise they will be given a DNF result for any events they do have knowledge in solving in. Each event will have the same amount of solves presented in the Speedsolving.com Weekly.

The individual winner is decided by who wins the majority of the events between you and your opponent, based off the ao5/mo3/bo3 formatting of each event. For example, Feliks wins 2x2 against Max with a 2.30 ao5 and Max has a 4.94 ao5, both in the Speedsolving Weekly. This means the first point goes to Feliks. The next two events, One-Handed and 6x6, Max has a better ao5 and mo3 respectively than Feliks, meaning Max wins two points as well as the match overall, 1-2.

This process should happen to all participating individuals across the two Clans versing eachother. Whichever Clan has the majority of the match wins, wins the Clan War between them (though this is not saying they shall have to verse another Clan immediately after). In the case that the Clans have an even amount of members or participating members, a tiebreaker mystery event round between the two Leaders shall happen.

I am willing to spend moolah to join this group of people.

Also :
For the wars, i think each clan should deposit a certain amount per member thats in the war, then the government gets a share of this (e.g its 2 coins for pp, the government gets 1 coin)
Then the rest of the coins are a prize pool for the winning clans ?
