Well my comp is in 2 days, so here are some goals. First comp in 8 months. I've also been cubing for exactly a year now, so that's cool.

3x3: Sub-15 average, sub-14 single
5x5: Sub-2:20 average, sub-2:10 single; make cutoff
3x3 OH: Sub-45 average, sub-40 single; make cutoff
3x3 Blindfolded: Sub-1:20 single, maybe a mean; make finals and podium
Megaminx: Sub-1:35 average, Sub-1:30 single; make finals
 
My comp was on Saturday, it was so fun and I did pretty well! I would have posted this sooner but the forums were having issues. Here's my results and my thoughts.

3x3:
First Round - Meh, pretty good but the 19s ruined the average.
Second Round - I was very happy with this average, quite consistent, and also a nice single.

5x5: Not a great average, but I was really happy with the single

3x3 BLD: Glad with a success, not a great time, but third place! Second solve was off by two flipped edges (1:20), and the third scramble was so bad and had like 4 flipped corners.

OH: Second solve was trash, got a PLL skip on the second, third I accidentally stopped the timer with my solving arm, fourth was meh, fifth was actually close to my average. As you can see CONSISTENCY

Megaminx: In both finals and first round a few bad solves messed up the averages, they were meh. Really happy with a 1:24 single though.

Overall a great comp, hope to go to another one soon!

I might try hosting a WCA comp soon. It'll be at the senior high school here in Ephrata, which should be fun!
 
Ok, so I got 2 more sub-50s on 4x4, and that's pretty much it for good times. I might practice some more OH than I usually do along with my main events, because my average for OH is depressing compared to my 3x3 times. I really want to go to another comp soon, there was one I was going to go to but it just didn't work out. I think @Garf might be having one in June so depending on the details I can hopefully go to that one.

Aight so I signed up for a comp but I'm like 4th on the waitlist and there is a 40 person competitor limit so idk what my chance of actually getting in is, if anyone has a good estimate of my chances that would be good to know.

I would guess approximately one in three, maybe one in four.
 
I'm probably going to be practicing my favorite events the most, so 3x3, 4x4, Pyraminx, Megaminx, 3BLD, and Clock. I know that's a lot lol. I can never decide what to practice the most unless I have a comp coming up, and I'm dying to go to another one but there's none coming up unless i get off the waitlist for that one. I went to one like 2 weeks ago lol but I guess it just reminded me how much I love comps.

I also signed up for another comp on April 30! My parents haven't said yes for sure, but I really want to go for my birthday, which is April 16. It has 3x3, 2x2, 4x4, Megaminx, Pyraminx, and Skewb. I really hope they say yes, I will update when they decide! I don't think I'll be able to get off the waiting list for the other comp but I'm so excited another one was announced (it's like 1hr 30 min farther though)
