Speed Scrambling

I’m fast ig

Hey

I’ve been spending lots of time doing speed scrambling (correctly performing a computer-generated scramble as fast as possible). Is anyone else interested in this?
I think this could be a good idea. You could even do this for 2x2 and 4x4 as well. Have you thought about how this would work in comp? There's a lot to think about here, but this could be worth it.

It would be hard to do at a comp, but at home it seems something fun to do, that way you can also do like sessions faster because you scramble faster, but aside this, this gived me an idea, would someone be interested If I would host a forum comp about speedscrambling, I could do for multiple events?

I'd agree with this, I think that it would actually be a cool unofficial event, but I can't say that I can ever see this becoming official. I think that the idea of relay scrambles (ex. mini guildford scramble) is also a good idea just for fun

I'm currently writing some proposed regulations, but the simplified version is basically that you use the scramble function of csTimer, start the timer, stop the timer, enter the time in (assuming the cube matches the drawing of the scramble), solve the cube and repeat.

"OMG Oscar your PB single is 6.06 seconds?! Why haven't you gotten anything sub-10 in comp?!" - My friend after I post my Speed Scramble single PB in #flex-your-results in the NZ Speedcubers Discord server.
