Hi,

I am new to cubing and my average is 1 minute (Average of 5)

I use the beginners method and I am starting to learn intuitive F2L from badmephisto. Have you got any tips regarding F2L and how to practice and get faster at it? I can do a few edge and corner pairs and then I resort to inserting the corners and edges individually like in the beginners method. This makes it slower than just dong full intuitive F2L.

Thanks in advance,

Holly

Thanks, I get stuck on some parts. I tried to learn F2L from MeMyselfAndPi's tutorial on youtube but i was lacking important things that badmephisto explained. Im going to write down the algorithms that he mentions as a reference and will getting practicing straight away :)

yes, after you think you can do it without thinking of the begginners method. start timing yourself on cross and F2L only. that way you can see where you need to improve

Stop doing the beginner's corner and edge insertions altogether. If you get "stuck" just take your time and figure out how to do it with F2L. If it takes you 5 minutes (or more) to do it, who cares? Every time you do F2L completely, you are learning and improving. If you don't resort to going back to your old method, you'll learn F2L faster and better.

Good luck!

Brian.

F2L is simple... The part that kills me is recognition. I guess I need to start NOT thinking about what I am doing now, but what I am going to be doing.
