How do you go through F2L without pauses. I always have to search for the corresponding edges. :(

Don't look at the pieces you are solving.

Look for the next pieces while you are solving instead. This is called look-ahead

So easy, yet so difficult. Took me 2 years to realize that... (and another 2 years not to fall back into the old bad habit NOT looking ahead)...Now I'm looking ahead but I have a high turn rate so I still have to pause now and then looking. Yeye, I know go slow (been practising that for some time as well)

Metronome training is also supposed to help train you to look ahead.

(Start slowly, try to keep up with the beat of the metronome. If you miss a beat start over.)

OMG i just went to that site www.metronomeonline.com and tried solve using metronome and boy do i SUCK!!!
I'm curious though, what pulse or beat (or whatever its measured in) do you guys solve at successfuly???

It only started working for me yesterday, when i slowed down, i was avg 18s, when i usually avg 19s and 20.xs. and today when i was cubing in class, i got 14, 14, 16, (with first 14 being PLL skip), because i moved slow as heck during F2L. it really Works!! I hope i can calm myself down and practice slow F2L always so i can do decent at caltech.

120 is think is my normal solving speed, of three solves with that BPM i only missed 2 beats. But when you practise you should go much slower than your normal speed.
