Well I just broken my 3x3 single full-step PB twice in the span of 14 solves. The first was 9.28. Then suddenly I got 8.89. Here's the catch. The 8.89 had the same cross, almost similar F2L, same OLL but different PLL.

During the 8.89 I wasn't expecting it to be similar when I looked at the cross. I only realized when I got to my last F2L pair because it was an insert that was nicely sitting there so I remember stuff like that. When I got to the OLL was expecting the same PLL as the last one and was ready to call it not legit but suddenly I got a T-perm, the first one had a H-perm.

Question is:
Should I accept the 8.89 as my PB?

Note:Both were scrambled without using computer generated scrambles.

Yeah, when I scramble the cube myself I find that solves are much easier because when you hand scramble, you usually have a "routine" as to how you scramble it. Whenever possible, I make sure to use computer generated scrambles.

If it's me I'll feel slightly guilty to accept a hand-scrambled solve as my PB..and I'm somewhat a perfectionist so the I'll probably won't call it my pb :p

But on whether or not the solves were the same..I'd say they're not since like you said, different PLL

Well in any case, the 9.28 is still a PB. Plus, it wasn't even that easy actually. The 1st-3rd F2L pairs weren't easy but wasn't hard to look ahead. Just the last one was an insert. The OLL...well I don't think because you hand scramble it will mean there will be an easy OLL.

Plus, I've gotten easier computer generated scrambles before like my previous 9.50. Its just that this one had an amazing look ahead I never could have done before.
