Solving the cross quickly....

Cross talk is fun...

I solve the cross in 2-3 seconds usually. Dual Solving helps too (solving for white or yellow for most of you).

Stray point, if I remember correctly I've done a U perm to solve the cross, but I can't remember if there was a point to it.

Chris Hardwick and I were talking about expanding our color neutrality. Dual solving is great, but we think solving for 4-6 colors equally and regularly is possible.

Dual Solving == white/yellow
Quad Solving == white/yellow/green/blue
Hex Solving (complete neutrality) == all colors (of course)

Chance for getting an xCross in Quad Solving == 76%
Chance for getting an xCross in Hex Solving == 88%

I always complete my cross on the bottom but I don't use x-cross and I don't set out to use dual solving, although I can, however solve from the blue and green sides as my cross. I also don't solve in relativity (by using D turns to finish up) because I find it quite difficult to pick the best order to solve the cross pieces. I can still get 2-3 seconds if I'm quick and I think it through. =]
