I have been trying to get CalCubeTimer running on my Macbook Pro. Whenever I launch it, it runs, shows the splash screen for a few seconds, and quits. I have the latest version of Snow Leopard, Java, and CCT. Is this me misunderstanding how to use CCT? Or is it an incompatibility with Snow Leopard.

If it is CCT's fault, will there be a fix soon? Or is there an alternative that works with a stackmat?

Thanks

It is neither. It is a compatibility issue with Java 6. CCT ran on the beta of Java SE 6, but it doesn't work with the new version. It wouldn't work in Leopard either as long as you had your Java up to date. To the best of my knowledge, there is no fix.

EDIT: I believe that it would work on a virtual Windows machine created in something like Parallels or Fusion that runs Windows Java 6, but I may not be correct.

If it is possible, it would be great if you could upload, seeing as I spent $25 on the required cables to get my stackmat hooked up.

I have snow leopard and the above patch works fine for me.

However as it seems many of you are interested a friend of mine is going to write a native Mac app very similar to CCT using the source code so I'll keep you posted on this.

PM me if you have any specific ideas for me to suggest to him :)

Is it the one in the "what would you like to see in a timer" thread? I started working on one in objective-c, but I couldn't find out how to communicate with a stackmat.

Also, thanks hr.mohr, the patch works great.

Okay, well if the app had long term stat graphing like Cube Mania, AND Stackmat timer support I would definately switch from CCT.
