I'm wondering whether OH times are based on the situtaion or not? Obviously technique comes into play and is a big part of your times but is it also the situation of the scramble you get that determines your times? Regular speedsolving is all about how fast you can recognize a problem and apply a rule/solution to it to fix the problem. Whereas OH is more about finding the shortest way to do things. I can get 23 seconds by doing 53 moves to solve or 69 moves(my average number of turns). But would I be able to get 43 seconds OH with 69 moves? Probably not, I would think. But what do you guys think? Is it the situation or is it your skill as in speedsolving?
