I added silicon lubricant to my megaminx and it like fused certain pairs together like an adhesive. It was really weird. I've used the lube on cubes and other puzzles and haven't had this problem but the megaminx was a pain. Has anyone else ever encountered similar problems with their lube?

yes, ive had the same problem mainly with my 2x2. i finish lubing it and it seems to be even slower than before i lubed it. i usually let it dry for a few days then start solving it over and over again. it is quite annoying but with time the result will be satisfying.

make sure it doesn't contain petroleum...dunno, never really seen "fused" pieces before, although of course i will tell you that you have to wait a day or two before silicone stops being "sticky".

ya sorry if i wasnt being clear, thats what i meant, sticky not fused.

Yea, all my cubes will be sticky for a few minutes after applying. But the megaminx actually had corner/edge pairs that seemed like they were glued apart. I pulled the pairs out and snapped them apart. It was strange. They're all free now and it turns smoother than before but I was curious if there was anyway to prevent this.
