How do you remove silicon residue???

I put silicone in my rubiks clock today and ther was some build up on the cornewr clocks it doesnt affect the function but it looks bad, ive tried alchohol to get it off, but that didnt work, any ideas? I want it off, but want to be carefull of the clocks hand.

Is it like, white film sticking to it?
If so, just carefully scrape it off.
