Should Yiheng wang be but on a temporary ban from wca competitions

Wait he is still doing it? I thought he stopped sliding but if he still doing it and knowing he is cheating he should definitely get a 6 month ban

Obviously yes. He’s also been doing early timer stops. Doesn’t seem like he’s improved his issue over the last 2 years

He definitely has periods when he's better or worse at sliding. I frame-counted all of this World's finals solves, and they were all very clean, compared to this most recent comp, where so many solves had sliding. It's unfortunate that, whatever situation he is in, it is leading him back to sliding, since he still has all the skills necessary to be the best. Especially proven through his Monkey League matches, which, with 4-pad, automatically clear them, as well as World's. At this point, some action needs to be taken against him, but I can only hope that the WCA makes the right decision and doesn't remain complacent with him.

He probably only didn’t do it at worlds to make sure he wouldn’t spark a massive controversy and if he slid in 3x3 finals at worlds he probably would have gotten WR average

But if he start solving before the timer starts that's a violation right (cant remember the rule but im pretty sure it is one) and are early timer stops like when you stop the timer before finishing ? If so, that's like what ?? Can the wca just do something at this point. He should get a ban in my opinion.

I think he should be suspended for a few months (maybe 6-12) and banned from major competitions. Then, he should have to use 4-pad when he competes again. WCA should also implement 4-pad in general. I know they can’t do it everywhere, but they should at least start enforcing it when and where they can. It wouldn’t be unfair to people who have to use it because you shouldn’t be slowed down by 4-pad unless they are sliding.

yes he should tho sliding is illegal in comps, and being the WR holder for a time (before teodor and xuanyi) deserves penalty and punishment. the judges can NOT let this slide.

only seems to actually not break rules in major comps.
suggests he has the ability to not slide, so in my opinion should be given a 1 year ban from all comps and not able to compete in the next worlds and next asians.

changing to 4 - Pad seems unnecessary as he is the only major case of sliding and that right now, and also makes practicing at home harder for the little guy. I don't know how timer stops work on 4pad but if you can still stop normally then that changes my opinion on switching to 4pad ALOT.

I’m kind of half-sided about banning Yiheng now, since he seems like a good kid. I’m guessing his mom is manuvering his actions indirectly behind the scenes, since we do have video evidence of how harsh yiheng’s mom can be. I mean if my mom was going to go full on beast mode on me because i wasn’t number 1 in a rubik’s cube competition, i would probably find a way to avoid that no matter what.
