Should I learn 2BLD first or jump strait to 3BLD?

Should I learn to do 2BLD then do 3BLD or just go strait to solving 3BLD?

I personally learned 2BLD first to get familiar with the concept and memo. Then I moved on to writing down letters for 3BLD first and then memoing, and finally full 3BLD. I think it would be best to try 2BLD first if 3BLD seems too hard, but it will take more time and more steps. It took me a while to actually learn 3BLD first, but now I average around 1:40. If only memoing a large amount of letters seems hard to you, then I'd recommend starting from writing them down first, then full 3BLD.

Learning 3BLD will entail doing Corners-Only and Edges-Only solves, so you will be doing 2BLD anyway with or without picking up a 2x2.

honestly (for me, idk about others) I always thought that 2BLD is slightly harder than 3BLD, because there is no set center, which makes my BLD memo harder. (but that might just be a me problem). Like everyone said above, just move on to 3BLD. It makes things like 2BLD easier too.

3BLD is a lot harder than 2BLD, for 2BLD just pick a corner or a solved bar as your “solved” pieces to go off of.
