Shengshou 4x4 with textured stickers?

[G2013]

I am about to get a 4x4 Shengshou, but it has something weird... it has textured stickers??

I don't know what version it is.

The stickers look like this other cube that I found on the Internet: [the cube appears to be the same]

There is a post on Reddit but no one has answered the question: "Why is it like so? Is it a new version or?"

Thanks.

I have a 5x5 with those stickers, but it seems the same as my other SS 5x5

Yes, there are cases of 5x5s with those stickers, also Shengshou 2x2s, and 6x6s, but only 1 4x4 case and now with mine 2.

I have a friend with a ShengShou 4x4 with textured stickers. The cube is about a year old, maybe more.

One of my friends has two ShengShou 4x4s. One has textured stickers and the other has glossy stickers. The pieces are identical, but the one with the textured stickers had a smoother core, so he switched the cores because his main was the one with glossy stickers.

Well if you look into it there are different models of each 4x4 and 5x5 Shengshou

There's a 5x5 called "wind"
And also new products new design new stickers . It's not like there still selling the same design they first came out with .

Most of the writing on the boxes is writing in Chinese so no one ever realizes the names . There's white boxes and purple ones

This thread was started before the Wind was even announced. plus some of the original SS 5x5's had tiles.

I saws someone with those and I started questioning if it was Shengshou but when he showed me the caps I knew it was legit
