When I was still in school (Graduated last year, 09 woop woop!) when I started bringing my cube to school people would make fun of me and call me names. But then a couple weeks later after nearly everyone had seen me solve it, everyone and their brother had cubes!! I taught one kid how to solve it and then suddenly I had 9-10 people a day ask me to teach them. Not bragging like it made me cool or something because I was friends with nearly everyone already, I just thought it was really weird that one day I'm being made fun of then the next day I see more rubiks cubes than note books.

i used to bring my cube to the collage, my friends, teachers and all liked to see me speedsolve it, but, only one learned from me how to solve it, rest were not interested

I had a lot of people to express interest after seeing me solve, but only one actually followed through and learned to solve it. He never became quick though because he was too cocky and refused to accept the advice I offered him. I have helped many people learn the f2l using the layer by layer method, but they always quit when they get to the last layer.

I went on to my teams cross country camp in mammoth and we met 2 Nike Representatives. The 2 "popular" girls on our team thought they were hot so they came over to our cabin. Now I use to bring my cube during 6th period (cross country period) and I solved at least a 100 times in their view. So I was sitting there solving my cube until the nike representatives had to leave and then they saw me. They were amazed and since they were amazed that meant the girls were too and then so they all watched/taped me doing it blindfolded after I had done it in view of my cross country team 100s of time.

The cool thing however is that the nike representative said he wanted to suggest a shoe with all the colors of the cube on it and then call it "genius" after seeing me do it blindfolded.(Highly doubt this will happen since he was probably just joking around with the girls and stuff)

A different scenario but kind of similar I guess

the first part of that happened to me but nobody else cept one person got cubes everyone still makes fun of me and picks on me but its cool
