I was sitting down when I realized : I'm trash at cubing. Mainly becaue I've been doing it for 4 years and I'm still sub 25...

So I decided that starting today I will dedicate all my freetime on mastering not only the 3x3 but all the other types cubes I have in my collection.

3x3 OH: 1:06.18 = (45.53), 1:14.68, 1:04.05, (1:25.16), 59.82

3x3: 23.77 = 22.21, 25.40, (17.79), 23.71, (25.45)

2x2: 21.37 = 21.19, (14.27), (DNF), 18.27, 24.66

Skewb: 28.27 = (38.37), (16.07), 33.49, 26.28, 25.06

For the 4x4 and 5x5 I gave up trying to scramble them correctly.

4x4: 1:57.01, 1:49.60

2x2 : 10 sec
3x3 : 15 sec
3x3 OH : 45 sec
3BLD : to learn
4x4 : 1:00 min
5x5 : 3:00 min
Skewb : 10 sec
Megaminx : to learn
Pyraminx : to learn (but I think I should start by getting one first)
Etc...

If you guys have tips, I'll be happy to hear them.

So today I learned the Yau method for the 4x4 (which I also managed to apply on the 5x5) and I can't understand how I manage to go this far without learning it ; speaking of learning : it was a piece of cake (no new algs to learn, only principles to follow).
I didn't measure myself yet but I really feel like I've gotten significantly faster.

I also realize that it is in my necessity for my joy of living and wellbeing to get as far as I can from my GAN460. This thing is trash to the point it becomes a pain to just turn a face.

So next up, I think I'll go learn the Sarah method for Skewb (One member here will be really happy after reading this (hopefully)) and start saving up for a new 4x4.

What 4x4 should I get?

Well... well... well...

2:02.86 = 1:49.33, (2:31.81), 2:17.14, 2:02.13, (1:48.47)

The numbers speaks for themselves.
Me who thought I was going to get instantly better, I was completely wrong (looking back it was naive of me to think that).

I think what I really need to work on to get faster is reducing my pair recognition time. I waste way too much time rotating the cube just to find them.

But to end on a good note :
I might not have gotten better at solving the cube, yes, but I've gotten way better at scrambling it. Out of the 5 scrambles I needed for the ao5, I only messed up once—much better than the 10 or so attempts it took me to get just two correct scrambles in the original post.

You can do it with some weeks to months of practice

s is sledge
h is hedge
image is a little blurry
hope this helps
(get sub 20 first maybe)
@Saterz_ don't learn from here, it's not good, not a single skewber recommends it, so do I, you are better off using a video like Noble Cubes or Z3Cubing, if you need any help with skewb, just DM me, you can also DM an ao5 to critique it
