Erm yeah, I don't want to sound stupid or anything, but how do I sand a cube? I tried it before, but instead of sand paper I used a metal file. I just kinda chipped away at a part, and was wondering if I screwed up or something. Help please.

I would just pull out the edges, and send it so it makes it more smooth. However, with all the new DIY's out, I don't think sanding is necessary. For info on DIYs, please see the introduction to speedcubing stickied thread in this forum.

Because I don't want to start another thread, but what other ways can I get my cube faster?

well you can lube it break it in...wear it out...solve it a lot of times you can loosen it a bit if you want or maybe tighten it

Well some people say that a good way to sand your cube is to first apply silicone,so that sand will stick on piece and not fall out of cube, then put actual sand on one piece and then solve your cube a couple ot times, then wash your cube, then lube again.
