Ok finally got step 3 down using oll and pll confused me for a little. I think I was just tired and not thinking straight I dont know.... anyway Am confused on what edges need to be oriented properly in step 4a is it just all U/D face colors must be orientated properly and permutation does not matter at this point? Or do the D face need to be properly orientated and permutated ?

Permutation doesn't matter right at this step only orientation. Meaning a UF piece can be on DF as long as it's orient correctly.

I'm completely lost at this step too. I don't understand how to orient the edges. The algs that it gives on http://grrroux.free.fr/method/Step_4.html

It doesn't orient anything, but it brings it to a different case that you already know. The table shows you that if you have a certain case, you apply the alg, and then you look for the case that you now have on the table and apply the appropriate alg, and you keep doing that until they are all oriented.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I had M and M' mixed up, so I just kept getting the same cases over and over.

waffle has a roux tutorial thread ill find the link after school, (while im gone just search WAFFLES ROUX and you should find it)
it gives you all the EO cases and what to do with them. its very simple.
also the sight is pretty straight forward.
basically its saying, that if certain casses are found then do that alg.
which will lead to another case, until you have the three on top and one on bottom.
doing the alg for that case will fix them.
