Reversing Alg of a solve?

Guys, this might be a dumb question but is there a way to reverse scramble an alg so I can practice it again? You know how some sites give you the scramble so you can practice an alg over again, what if you only have the alg and no scramble? In other words I have an alg that solves a particular instance on the cube and I want to practice that alg again, is there a way to do that and if so, how?

Write it backwards and switch the directions.

Also if you do the same alg repeatedly it will go back to solved. (R U R' F D done 80 times goes back to solved.)

I don't get it. How can one possibly ask whether an alg can be reversed? I mean, I've seen many people ask for "setups" for algs and I've been confused why they don't realize to just do the alg in reverse... but if you already do realize that, why would you ask?

As a noob my description is probably off and I still don't think I'm describing properly what I want to do. like you said the answer is probably staring me in the face and I think you hit it on the head when you said 'setups' but I will try doing it in reverse.

You clearly have no idea what "setup" means. It's a general term meaning doing something to get you to where you want so you can do something there. It is *not* an alternative to doing your alg in reverse - doing your alg in reverse is one way (the obvious one) to setup the cube the way you want. What I was saying is that some others don't understand that you can setup by just doing it in reverse, and that I have no idea how you managed to realize it but then didn't simply do it.

There's no real need for this. Just do the alg over and over and it will eventually bring you back to the case you started with.
