Hi. My daughter Rebecca, who is a computer science major, is in a college psychology class and would like to run an experiment to study whether it makes any difference to sit or stand while speedsolving a cube.
What we would like people to try is the following experiment:
1. Flip a coin (or use any other method to choose between 2 possibilities) to decide whether to sit or stand for your first solve.
2. Perform 24 3x3x3 solves with valid scrambles from your favorite scramble generator, switching after each solve from sitting to standing or standing to sitting.
3. When you're done, you should have 2 full averages of 12, one done sitting, and the other done standing, having alternated between sitting and standing for each solve.
When you have completed the 24 solves, please post your results here, making clear which solves were done sitting, and which were done standing. Please include all 24 result times.
For anyone who provides results for this, thank you so much in advance!!
