Hello all! So I'm not new, but it has been a hot minute since I've been on the forum. I imagine the faces around here are mostly different than when I used to hang around on the forum. I have a bit of a story about why I left, so if you're not interested in that feel free to just ignore.
One of my last appearances on the forum involved a back-and-forth over Southeast Champs where I had concerns over certain rules. I started a bit of mild drama over this I suppose, and ever since all that went down I had a lot of anxiety about jumping back on the forum. I think most of that anxiety stems from the fact that I was embarrassed about how I handled the whole situation, as I was sort of letting my emotions get the better of me. If anyone seeing this happens to remember that, consider this my formal apology for how I handled that I guess. I suppose after avoiding the forum like the plague since I didn't really want to show myself after that, I figured maybe I should suck it up and try to make amends for that and move on. I'd say I'm a lot different as a person than when I used to hang around on the forum, and I used to be younger and less mindful of myself. Maybe there's a lesson here to be mindful of what you say that could help others avoid similar situations. But hey, I probably made it out to be a bigger deal in my head than it actually was.
That's pretty much my story and what went through my mind. Anyway, about myself, I used to cube a lot back in those days, but I've scaled it back a lot in the last few years. I found some new hobbies, I especially play a lot of Trackmania these days (series of racing games). This week I was really feeling like practicing some megaminx though, and I managed to get some nice times for me, with a 39.13 single and a 49.64 average of 100. Can't really keep up with all this new talent in cubing, though, so I just cube at my leisure. Not really sure how much I'll be on the forum these days, but I hope all is going well in the community.
