So i'm breaking down and learning the rest of my PLL's finally and I wanted some input on the: y R2 B2 U' R' U' R U R U B2 R U' R U. It's the R perm b as stated in the title but its not very finger tricky and slow and so i wanted some advice on grips and such to see it i can make it more finger trick frindly:).

Thanks all in advance.

Meh to be perfectly honest I dont like it. I was gonna say not new alg suggestions but then I thought to myself there's probly more than whats on the wiki page. the issue with the one im using arises at the second B2.

You don't like what, the wiki? Or the algorithm I posted? The one I posted is by far one of the most popular R Perms. and it's definitely sub1.5able. I think a few here have sub1'd that alg. The alg I posted is also the first one on the wiki for the Rb PLL...I honestly suggest learning it as it'll be much easier than the one you are trying to perform and the move count is the same.

yeah my appologies I was talking bout the alg. I just really dislike U2 moves they dont feel right to me. I really do apriciate the advice though

If you would like to stick with that one, preform the second B2 as B' B', pull on UBL with your ring finger, then do another one immediately with your middle finger. Note that this is also the way you should do U2s, except with your index followed by middle.

Do you do the double flick?

yep

yeah i feel like i just need to be more comfortable with the left hand and it will start to improve.

I always had a problem with the end of the Standard Rb (where you do the F' to bring the white sticker to the U face) it would frequently lock up on me, and I kept wanting to do an F (which doesn't work at all). Though trying it on my new Guhong it seems to flow perfectly. But anyway after the U2's the middle part of that alg is just perfect... so finger trick friendly.

I grip the cube so that I can R double flick R' double flick R F R U R' U' (this should be fairly obvious) I then regrip as if I'm going to do R' F but I do R F' instead (the F' can be with your thumb pushing DFR up to RFU) R2 U' (I just carry the R2 with my fingers that are already on the R 'slice' of the B face). You could also do the F' with an index finger push from FRU to UFL. There are a few regrips but the alg is still very fast (sub2 incredibly easily).

I really suggest you learn the alg that fatboy posted. It's very good once you get used to it.

Not to tell you what to like/do but I really think you should get used to U2 double flicks, they come up all the time and they're not hard at all to master(with the right hand atleast, for a right handed person, left handed is more difficult.

I perform the alg starting with my fingers on bottom and thumb on top, R' (RH index-middle U2) R (LH index-middle) [I use my left hand for the second U2 so I can regrip my right hand to thumb on front, index on BRU] R' F (with right index) (R U R' U' - during the left index flick of the U' at the end I regrip my right hand with my thumb on FRU) R' (F' with thumb) R2 U'

that's the most in depth text description i've given for an alg. If you can follow it I'm sure you'll realize the potential this alg has. There's a reason most everyone uses it for this case. It's one of my fastest non 2gen PLLs, almost up there with T/J for me. Now Ra on the other hand....... T_T
