I want to collect many of the fastest and useful algos for the cross here.

1. Setup: x R U`R`_______Solve: x R U R`
2. Setup: R`F`R_________Solve: R`F R
3. Setup: F`R U`R`______Solve: R U R`F
4. Setup: B R`U R`_______Solve: R U`R B`
5. Setup: R`D`R D R`_____Solve: R D`R`D R
6. Setup: R u`R`_________Solve: R u R`
7. Setup: R u`R__________Solve: R`u R`

There must be a lot lot more, please share it here....!;)

umm, sorry to say this but if you think you need algorithms to make a cross then dont post this in the speedcubing section...
With all respect, I dont think a lot of people and certainly not fast people actually need to learn algorithms to be able to just make a cross...

All you really did is show inverses to the scramble, so obviously its going to return to the solved state...

Everybody uses cross 'algorithms' for very common cases whether you realize it or not, so I don't see why this thread is so bad.

I'm not sure that I entirely understand what you mean that we use algorithms but I think this thread is bad because consciously applying these algorithms will keep people from understanding the cross and using some intuition. I think it will severely inhibit their ability to do the cross quickly.

I started this thread only for a helping hand for people who maybe struggle a little bit to make the cross under 5 sec. For example R D`R`D R can be small tricky to figure out in the beginning (when the cross is on the buttom and you don´t see what you`re doing). BADMEPHISTO's R`u R` can also take time to figure out from the start. Or maybe it´s only me who is extremly ****ed up in the head to not have figured all these clever ways yet.

I think there is more of these small clever "cross algos", but it seems that many see it like it´s not important.

OF CAUSE every algo shall be transformed to intuitively solves with some practice.

I have sometimes trained only the cross (maybe 10-15 hours in total) and I still find new ways (or algos if you want).

It´s funny to see that it exist algos for F2L, just as stupid as clever ways (alg) for the cross

The cross is an INTUITIVE step. Accept it.

</thread>

A few people would say that about F2l too, and yet still many people use F2l algorithms. That said, people should look at these to maybe get a little faster at slower cases, but please! Try to understand what's actually happening, not just blindly applying them. Same goes for OLLs. I tried to figure out how PLLs work, but it's a little too confusing for me at this point.

Maybe I should wrote fingertrix or friendly finger turns instead of algs, but it doesn´t matter now. No one seems to understand my point anyway. Over and out......

I understand it, you were just showing short ways of solving parts of the cross that some may find difficult. It doesn't seem any different to me than the numerous F2L (or Petrus/"Roux", etc) Tricks topics.

The other posters are just having fun...being mean, so don't worry about it.

The more you practice they more intuitive it will become. The two things that helped my cross immensely were: 1) I stickered a cube with only centers and white cross, that took my cross from ~12 seconds to five in about two weeks 2) practice memorizing your entire cross, then solve it with your eyes closed. I should practice that second one more...

wow. that is a fantastic idea for a beginner struggling with the cross. i'm definitely going to suggest those that I teach that have trouble with it. i can imagine that is extraordinarily helpful.

The first step is actually very useful...
