Want to do some underwater 3×3 and pyra solves in July and August (summer vacation), and probably record some of them, but I never do this before.

1. How do people train to hold their breath longer? (I only can hold my breath like 45s~55s, 63s is the best time)

2. Will underwater solving harm the cubes?

3. What's the difference between regular solving and underwater solving?
(Harder to see and turn the cube? Easily to get nervous?...)

4. Is there any way to recorded underwater view without buy a waterproof camera or gopro?

Thx for the replies 👍

slowly inhale (15-30seconds)
hold (ideally for 30-50)
slow exhale (15-20)
cubes hardware -screws- will rust
nervousness is the only thing, the turning is easier
my average breath hold is around 80 so
i dont know anything for the camera situation though
(i dont know why but i do tend to hold my breath solving too...)

For the cubing, i would use a non-magnetic cube which you almost never use since water can make the screws bad. For seeing the cube i would use underwater glasses. If i was you i would first try to know how long i can hold my breath underwater. So lets just say if i could hold my breath for 30 seconds, i would do like a 3x3 as i can solve that under 30 seconds. For recording i would just ask your parents to record it above the water.

Put your phone in a ziplock bag, and suck all the air out. You could do this with your mouth of course, but I recommend putting the phone in the bag, and putting it in the water but leaving just the seal part above water, then just close the seal and you're good to go. Itll give you a much tighter vacuum effect, hence a clearer camera shot. Be extra careful that the bag is completely closed. You could put duct tape over the seal to be more secure.

Good luck :)
