Quality of different batches and colors

I find this kinda weird.
My white Guhong v2 is super smooth, and superslow. Useless.
My black Guhong v2 is fairly smooth, and pretty fast. Its a nice cube.

The stickerless Zhanchi is awesome.
The black one is okay.

My black Lingyun v2 is okay, the white one is great.

Some Fanghi´s are great, some are super slow.


I'm thinking of always ordering 2 cubes from 2 different places from now on...

Do the molds get worn out or something? Maybe the color thing has nothing to do with the color, but that some molds are new, some are old and crappy?

Whats up with this? What are your experiences?

black v-cube 7 are often inferior to white ones. I've never encounter a decent black v7 yet.

some times it is just the lube job that is different which is what changes the performance. as far as i can tell, colour has nothing to do with it.

This happens with most cubes in my experience. I have many Zhanchi's and two of them are godly while all the others are just mediocre.
My first Shuang Ren was super slow but I just ordered another since everyone claims they're so fast.
I've also AB'ed guitar pedals and amps of identical brands/models and found differences as well.
I think it's just a luck of the draw kind of thing but it's sweet when you get one that has "mojo"

I preordered a fangshi and found it alright, but kinda slow if tensioned the way I like. Just got 2 other ones and they are blazing fast...
