What time barriers are considered to be professional/advanced/intermediate? These are just my opinions. For Professional, I used the top 100 WCA average rankings for that event while for Advanced, I used the top 1000 WCA average rankings.

2x2
Professional- Sub-2
Advanced- Sub-3
Intermediate- Sub-5?

3x3
Professional- Sub-7
Advanced- Sub-10
Intermediate- Sub-20?

4x4
Professional- Sub-30
Advanced- Sub-40
Intermediate- Sub-1:00?

5x5
Professional- Sub-1:00
Advanced- Sub-1:20 (at least that's what I think Kevin said)
Intermediate- Sub-2:00?

6x6
Professional- Sub-1:50
Advanced- Sub-2:30
Intermediate- ???

7x7
Professional- Sub-2:40
Advanced- Sub-3:45
Intermediate- ???

3x3 OH
Professional- Sub-12
Advanced- Sub-16
Intermediate- Sub-35??

Clock
Professional- Sub-7
Advanced- Sub-10
Intermediate- ???

Megaminx
Professional- Sub-45
Advanced- Sub-1:05
Intermediate- Sub-2:00?

Pyraminx
Professional- Sub-3
Advanced- Sub-5
Intermediate- Sub-15?

Skewb
Professional- Sub-3.5
Advanced- Sub-5
Intermediate- Sub-15?

Square-1
Professional- Sub-10
Advanced- Sub-17¿
Intermediate- Sub-35?

I dont think I'm gonna add Blind.

You can calculate relative time barriers per event. I did this a long time ago when I came back to cubing. The ratio I used was based off of WR during 2020 so its a bit outdated. I also rounded the times. The formula is =>

Variables:
A= 3x3 barrier
C= Other event WR time
B= 3x3 WR time (if scaling based on 3x3)

=> Y x Z / 5.08

These were the barriers I calculated back in 2020.

3x3:
Sub-20
Sub-15
Sub-10

4x4:
Sub-1:16
Sub-57
Sub-38

2x2:
Sub-4.4
Sub-3.3
Sub-2.2

Square-1:
Sub-24
Sub-18
Sub-12

Megaminx:

Sub-1:50
Sub-1:22
Sub-55

anyway you get the point. You can do the maths on your own.
The major problem that I ran into was barriers and the relation to competitive results.

The major one was that to be in the top 100 for 3x3 you needed to be sub-8 bvut to be in the top 100 for 3BLD you needed only to be sub-10 (Relative to 3BLD). Basically because 3x3 is so popular it's times are skewed.

Multi-BLD and FMC are going to be, obviously, harder to calculate since they aren't time based and thus do not fit into the formula. Can't help you there.

You could run a poll on what the community averages (some youtubers have done this) and base it off the results. Do some standard deviation stuff. You still run into the popularity problem but you can get a better feel for where you fall relative to other cubers.

anyway do with this what you will.

Edit: You can also use chess ELO ratings to calculate these barriers. There's another thread on the forums that did that.

These are my current updated 2022 relative barriers for the events I participate in. Fastest are Square-1 ( my main event ) and 4x4 ( surprisingly ). Lmk if you'd like me to extend this to the rest of the events :)

What percentile does each column stand for?

My thought on FMC:
Professional: sub-25
Advanced: sub-30
Intermediate: sub-40?
This is what I had for FMC. It doesn't transfer well since it isn't time based but it feels close-ish. 22 single is top 100 so <25 seems correct for professional. But tbh is was completely based on feeling so maybe not the best.

3x3<30<25<20<18<15<12<10<9<8
FMC<55<50<45<40<36<33<29<27<25

In that case, they're pretty accurate.
Cool! Based on your PBs 3x3, 4x4, and Mega all line up to the 12 second barrier ( almost perfectly ). So, if you'd say that you're equally good between those events ( given they're your main events ) then I'm feeling pretty good about this comparison.
