Hello, I read the post about deliberate practice vs just solving and i got interested.

Do you guys have any drills? Want to share?

Mine are taking the 3x3 and doing each algorithm a couple of times to practice the speed / memory. I go each by each and do them around 10 times. I use roux btw.

Then I spend around 30 minutes on this: i memorize how to do first part of first block, and do it from memory. I try to do a bit more each day - I want to get to the point where I do whole 1st block in one look and whole 2nd block in another look. I dont really so that for last layer as i already do the cmll training.

For 3BLD I just try to get as many blocks as I can in one look - I get have to get a complete solve.

Any ideas for 2x2 and 4x4 practice?

2x2- Depends on your method, honestly. Ortega and LBL, practice one looking your face/layer for sure. Once you can do that, predict OLL. I use CLL, sometimes I work on layer efficiency. I used to drill CLL's some, but don't now. Now I do solves, which work on layer building, and looking ahead (just now learning one looking). Solves also help with CLL recognition and speed. Also allows me to work on in solve AUF prediction.

Although I'm no good at 4x4, so take this as a grain of salt. Work on solving first 2 centers in inspection. Doing 3-2-3 edge pairing without rotations, and looking ahead.

I am memorizing as many steps for the solve as I can. I can get 4withiut any problem. 6 to 8 is a bit of a challenge. My best attempt yet was literally a 2 look solve. One look for the edges and one for the corners.
