I just finished a chill morning session, and 2 3x3 PB singles in the span of 3 solves! (I sold the average)

So basically, I've gotten like 3 PB singles today (I got an 11.95 on cam), and like 10 solves that would've been PB yesterday, but I was going for PB Average and I sold it like 5 times. I'm not upset, but it shows I need to work on nerve control.

I'm kind of similar in speed to you on 4x4 and I made the switch to Yau and 3-2-3 edge pairing. Most people seem to agree it's worth it even if you're relatively slow. What made it click for me was watching the Cubeskills videos with Feliks on youtube. They're a bit old, but explains the concepts really well at a reasonable speed.

What do you mean by "beginners" method on Megaminx? Is it just for last layer? Because if you know basic CFOP on 3x3 doing intuitive pairing of corners and edges on Megaminx should be really easy for you, right? (I'm just a beginner on Megaminx myself, so it's possible that there are a lot of methods I don't even know about.)

I have wanted to switch to Yau I just don't really care about big cubes rn. I do want to get decent at them sometime but idk when.

I do beginners LL, but for some reason I also do a LBL type thing instead of F2L, and I don't really know why. I did a solve with F2L pairing stuff and it isn't slowing me down so I will probably work on that.
