powerball (was: Interesting tool...)

hello,

My dad came home today and had something, a powerball. you can see the website Here This has the ability to work out mainly your wrist, and that seems just perfect for cubing. Also, I believe it can get rid of pains like cubists wrist. I just wanted to share this and wondered if anyone had seen this before.

I remember this back from the 1970s or 80s. I am not sure how much it really helps though.

I love mine for its ability to heal my cramped up, post-7x7 wrists. I never go to a competition without it.

it does seem to make my finger movements faster. oh, also, my powerball is the dyna-flex PRO my dad didn't have the string, so its a little hard to start, but its fun to use...

i'm getting one of those.
i injured my right hand a while back (playing too much rubiks.com 5x5 and treacherous liszt transcriptions) and i don't think i fully recovered...

I have the original powerball, and it's more fun than exercizing, it makes you want to make the best out of you, it kinda needs a lot of cleaning although.

mine doesn't need any cleaning actually, its just fun for when i have done alot of cubing or anything that can make your wrist hurt.

EDIT: i don't own the speedmeter

Cool, i kinda used it a lot a couple of years ago so it got a little dirty and didnt make high rpms, my record was 12.500, and now my speed meter is broken so i have to get a new one before i can take my speeds again

Thread Bump!

I recently bought a powerball (actually a Dyna-Flex Pro) and so far I love it! It took a while to learn how to use it, thank you youtube tutorials. Once I did figure it out, it really does give you a strong forearm burn! I've used it for two days in a row so far. I hope it does help me to improve for my speedsolving.

I just wanted to post to say that I, too, have joined the powerball club!
