Greetings everyone ;)
My name is Daniel and i'm new here, so i'd like to introduce myself :cool:
I'm 17 and i'm quite new to speedcubing.
I learned how to solve The Cube last summer(LBL), but i started to get into speedcubing just 1,5months ago. :p
Since this time, i have learned Fridrich, 2-look OLL and full PLL and my average on 3x3x3 is about 32s :cool:
I can solve 2x2, 3x3 OH, 3x3 BLD, and 4x4 but i'm horrible at them :mad:
Hope i can get into your community and help growing it up!
Cheers :cool:

PS. Beside speedcubin i like programming, chemistry, physics and mathematics ;d

Yep, and learn ZBLL :O I was thinking about it, but that just scares me off!
@antoineccantin
Thanks, i really enjoy my new hobby, so I spend some time practising ;)

Nah, you don't have to learn ZBLL for ZZ.

ZZ's actually really different from ZB. ZB is essentially Fridrich, except that in the last slot, it orients all the edges, then solves the LL in one alg.

ZZ is a method where you make an EOLine, which basically means you orient the edges first,, before you do anything else, and then solve DF and DB. Then you solve the left and right side of F2L, and similar to ZB, you're left with all edges oriented during the last layer. Unlike ZB, though, you didn't need a single alg to orient the LL edges.

In fact, ZZ's minimum number of algs is less than Fridrich- you could potentially solve the LL with three algs, although that would be slow. With thirteen, you can be reasonably fast, and with twenty eight, you have a 2LLL.

Just think about it, and don't let its awesomeness scare you off. ;)

I know what is ZZ, so i just meant ZZLL, i'm sorry ;) I'm actually thinking about advantages and disadvantages of this method and my primary question is:
"Wouldn't it be faster be perform 2 algs (OLL and PLL) than performing 1 alg ZZLL, but wasting some seconds to recognize what case is it, and then perform longer algorithm?". That's the main reason i don't want to start with it, cause eventually i would lose much time mastering this method, and it still would be slower than fridrich..
