World Records take hard work, dedication, skill, speed, and a little bit of luck.
I feel unless I get the worlds luckiest scramble, I will not be able to get any world records any time soon.
But the next closest thing:
Continental records
If you've seen my times before, you may think I'm crazy.
But if you haven't, I average 7 on 2x2 and 35-40 on 3x3.
I know I'm slow. I think I do 2-3 TPS
Every continent has a seemingly unbeatable CR.
Except this one.

For those who didn't pass 1st grade Social Studies, this is Antarctica.
First, I'll get a WCA delagate to come with to me Argentina, the country closest to Antarctica.
I will then get a boat and sail to Antarctica.
I will then locate the nearest shelter, and record myself solving a rubiks cube 5 times for a Ao5 Average
I will post it to youtube and therefore have the Antarctica CR

CR implies it’s official, which requires it to be a full on organized competition; this isn’t GWR where you just need a delegate present for the attempt. You also need to be recognized as a citizen of a country in that continent. Given that their are no countries in Antarctica (there are no permanent residents), it may be a bit difficult.

However, it’s worth noting that Antarctica also contains the largest unclaimed piece of land left on the planet. So if you’re down to set up your own country, get it recognized by the WCA, set up a competition (which would likely require more than one participant, plus potentially a delegate in the area) where everyone else is slower than you, then you could get Antarctic record (plus NR for your country).
