The decade long process of overtaking Maskow has bore nice fruit with 15 people have better results than the 41 points.

  1. Graham Siggins
  2. Rowe Hessler
  3. Ezra Hirschi
  4. Yucheng Chen (陈裕铖)
  5. Shivam Bansal
  6. Stanley Chapel
  7. Krzysztof Bober
  8. Elliott Kobelansky
  9. Kamil Przybylski
  10. Mark Boyanowski
  11. James Macdiarmid
  12. Michael Tripodi
  13. Grigorii Alekseev
  14. Michał Bogdan
  15. Adrian Dębski

Everyone better than Maskow,
Marcin Kowalczyk

My open question to everyone is how much time would it take to have 30 people overtake Maskow in MBLD?

I am sure it would definitely take less than a decade. My bets are on the year 2027 when we have 15 new MBLDers joining the fray and most of the 30 MBLDers being active.

So turns out Maskow is not super pleased with me trying to think about this video. So I will be re-uploading it and not try to target maskow.

Made an outreach video on MBLD.

I hope more cubers overtake 42 points soon
I can't imagine his reaction when (and if) he logs back on to the forums

Maskow: *67/67 53:27*

That's interesting. What specifically would he have to unlearn?
His exec speed is around 25-30s per cube in his peak form,
He has to learn new algs and fingertricks to get to 15-17s exec which is needed now at the top level.

His review system for 8 packs is not sustainable for 40+ cubes as he reviews 2 cubes quickly, which gives less time for spaced repetition,
He needs to adopt the MR 1-8 or MR 1-10 approach,

And do the 3rd pass after 32 cubes (4 packs) or more, so that the attempt can be paced well.

Also maskow does not have any mid term memo cubes, just long (32 cubes) and short (~8 cubes), having mid term cubes which are 3 passed will help add more cubes to the attempt.

There are a lot of guidelines which James and Graham have drafted with their experience which is helping the entire community. Maskow should go through it and learn the new stuff that works more effectively.

That being said, I do expect maskow to even get a PR again in MBLD as it is very psychological to improve once we have peaked many years back.

I do not think Maskow is going to improve over 41 points ever, he needs to unlearn a lot of stuff yo.
Can't you take a joke... I know it's unreasonable, no need to **** on him like that

Also he got 125 solved in like just over an hour
And 49/50 in 58:25, so he was or still is improving idk

He does not care about the event since a long time.

The first step of improving is to care, and then you unlearn and learn the proper stuff. It is too much effort, plus he does not care.
