Hey i just got a 2*2*2 today and i have a question. How do you open it up? Is it like a 3*3*3, where you turn a face 45 degrees and pop a piece out?

Thanks

you can do that if it's a rubik's, but it's very dangerous and u might risk breaking one of the pieces. let it pop naturally sometimes. haha

if you do break it just buy a rubik's jr. cube and replace the stickers, it's the same thing

I opened my 2x2x2 (well i took off one piece) to lube it, was very stiff.

Assuming we have the same sort of 2x2x2, on mine the pieces come straight up, insted of being pried outl ike on the 3x3

I opened up a 4x4x4 Eastsheen (i think, it was in a Dome) cube because it was jamming on something (within the first 5 minutes of using it) and it was a pain to put back together. In the end I threw it out and bought a 4x4x4 Eastsheen that came in a package that had no problems. :-)

My 2x2x2 Eastsheen doesn't need opening as it's so smooth to turn :-)

I tried putting it back together, I even had it together ... kinda, I just wasn't sure if the orientation of the pieces "inside" where correct and the fact that it literally wouldn't do a centre turn wasn't convincing in keeping it x.x (ie: rR at the same time)

You shouldn't have thrown that 4x4x4 away. Putting it back together is not something you would like to do for your day job, but it is possible to do it in about 15 minutes. Or you could have just saved the pieces for spare parts!

Ron helped me moving and afterwards I gave him my Eastheen 4x4 he said it was the first Eastheen 4x4 that was good, so I traded it with him for a new Eastheen 4x4. :)

you need a CD to use as a stand sort of then you can put it back together.

Hey thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately I accidentally broke my 2*2*2 in the process :/. No big deal. They are cheap anyway. I can go buy another one. Thanks for all the replies anyway.

you can go buy a junior cube, and then try to open it again, even if you break it, u'll have pieces from the first one to replace it.
