One algorithm for megaminx?

I have recently learned the One algoritm method for solving 3x3. I did the beginners version of Fridrich before (and still do, - the one algoritm isn't that interesting and especially not fast at all, - but it's very easy to learn/teach and I believe a good introduction to cubing)

My question is - are there a one algoritm solution for the megaminx?
I can, with a few modifications to Erik Akkersdijk's one algoritm method, get to a position with everything solved except for permuting the edges on the last layer.

Is there a way to permute the edges on the last layer? If at all possible just using the 'sexy-move' (or almost just the 'sexy-move' - just like Erik cheats a little bit and have a bit loose definition of a algoritm).

You can do edges+1C with your last slot then last 5 corners (2 commutators).
I do edges+3C, which also works, leaving 1C.

Technically this is a 0 alg method :)

Otherwise you can use the T perm only, to do cycles the way you want. But that's harder...

Edit: edge 3cycle R' U' R U' R U R2' U R U' R U' R' U2

Edit2: lol same as cheese

You can use a pretty simple "trick" (somewhat like a commutator):
Hold an unsolved edge on UF and turn the two adjacent layers away from you (R and L') Do a F turn. Undo the side turns. Turn the U layer to where your piece belongs. Repeat the side-F-side, this time with a F'. Continue untill it's solved.

The advantage of this is, that you can solve any edge case. The disadvantage is, that it's kinda slow. I use this edge approach, and my megaminx average is about 2:45.

Erik used sexy lexy sexy' lexy' for 3x3x3, right? Works for megaminx as well.

Yes - almost. He used 1*sexy, 1*lexy, 5*sexy, 5*lexy, - but since 6*sexy = I, 5*sexy=sexy'

But that doesn't permute my edges - it permutes the last tree corners in that layer. - Which isn't a bad thing to know btw. Before I just did the 3*sexy y' 3*lexy which permutes cornes as well (just as it did on the 3x3, though it's not exactly in the same manner)

You're just doing it wrong. Hold the megaminx so you have two front sides, left, right, and back. Do sexy and lexy with those right and left sides.

Alternatively, hold it like you did so far, and front-back-mirror sexy and lexy (so sexy=R'U'RU and lexy=LUL'U'):
(R' U' R U) (L U L' U') (U' R' U R) (U L U' L')
