No love for the missing link?

Recently i picked up my old missing link, been trying to figure out how to solve it for a while (I've almost got it) but what i've been wondering, is hyw theres no love for the missing link? There isn't a single competition that has the missing link, the WCA doesn't even mention it!

There are no comps with it in because it is not a WCA event and not many people actually have the cube.

Magic and Master magic used to be events as well but they were discontinued. Skewb is a new one though.

Don't feel too bad that there isn't any Missing link there are loads of puzzles which aren't in comps (and are arguably much more popular such as gigaminx, kilominx, mirror blocks, square-2, ghost cubes etc).
