Hi, my name is William Wilhelm, also known as IV. I'm 22 years old and I've been a part of the yo-yo skilltoy community for around five years. If any of you frequent the Yoyonation forums for yo-yoing skilltoys, you might already know me seeing as how some of the guys there are into speed-cubing. If not then I'm happy to be a new part of this forum.
I've had an old standard Rubik's cube for about three or four years now and of course they were all over my childhood but I never really got interested in solving one well until yesterday. I started with the beginner's method and learned some of the basic algorithms, even though I don't know 100% of the algorithms involved with the beginner's method yet. I'm still learning.
Anyway, I'm interested in getting a new cube as I practice and I've done quite a bit of research into what people are interested in these days. I've heard people chant:
"BUY TYPE C!"
"BUY TYPE C!"
"...TYPE C, YOU INGRATE!"
I've also heard people chanting about type F and A but I've heard some recent news over the Ghosthand cubes and they are the ones I'm more interested in seeing as how most reviews I've read have had nothing but good things to say about them.
What's this forum's take on all of this? I already have a Ghosthand II in my cart at one of the online shops and I"m willing to buy but I'd really like some good input from people who have been in the speed-cubing hobby long enough to know their stuff.
