I am looking to buy new CUBE or CUBES

Couple of questions - where can I buy good value cubes?

I am looking to collect weird cubes as well. Anything from cheesy promo cubes to nice shinny ones. Is there anywhere that does nice cheap 'show' cubes.

don't go with puzl.co.uk, they sell rubbish cubes and are over priced. If you want value go for lightake.com (but you've got to be prepared to wait - typically a month to the UK), if you want them quicker (like a week or so) try the american sites like puzzle addiction and cube depot.

Aye I have to confess I have only bought an Haiyans Haiyan from Puzl. Most of my orders come from C4U and being impatient I pay for fast delivery. Last order was placed on a Friday and I took delivery at my work on Monday!!

same recommendation from me

I wouldn't say they are rubbish, but the prices are a little higher than other places.

But convenience wise, they have never taken longer than a day to get to me.

I will agree with this and also the customer service is very good. One of my puzzles arrived broken and I was sent a replacement and its never taken more than about 3 days to get to me. Admittedly they don't have the breadth of choice but they do have the mainstream puzzles that people will buy.

Be prepared to pay about a 30% import charge though. I've only ordered once from an American site and I got charged. I'm not sure how often this happens though.

ok I may have been over critical of the stock at puzl.co.uk, especially if they sell Haiyan cubes... I thought they just sold generic stuff like the 'speed cube' Also I was annoyed the other day when I read the description of the Rubik's studio branded cube that said "this is the preferred cube by speedcubers".

Cube-o-holic, that's annoying that you got charged import tax, I've never had that before but I have heard of it happening on other products, it seems almost random.

It is, they just pick the odd parcel out. It's only happened to me once; for a 100 Euro watch from Japan which ended up costing 140 due to taxes...

I purchased my Eastsheen collection from puzl.co.uk. They deliver within a few days and they added three free cube bags which cost a dollar elsewhere. Happy customer.

The prices are a bit steep, but I think other sites are worse. I mean yesterday, I purchased one of the prototype DaYan 5 cubes for 22 dollars from a popular store. They probably got them as free samples from DaYan and then flogged them for a nice profit...Not that I'm complaining though, I gots my cube ;)

All three of my C4U orders with UPS Express Delivery incurred import duties this year. Many other orders from other places in last two months did not. I noticed some have been ticked 'Gift' on the package import label which then obviously is not subject to any charge. I guess the just spot check others.

International delivery companies like Fedex, UPS, DHL will declare at customs at their own initiative. So if you wanna avoid taxes, postal services are always the best choice.
