Hey guys, I just joined this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I learned how to solve the cube last year, but only started speedcubing for about a month and a half.

Since then I've been practicing f2l, 2-look OLL, and am finishing up full PLL (1 algorithm left). My times have improved from 1:10 average to my current 27.43. My personal best is 19.82 sec. Hope to get faster and hopefully sub 20. Right now, I'm working on my lookahead and improving my f2l.

Anyone here who lives in Seattle? I don't know of any local cubers.
anyway, just posting to say hi guys.

Not quite Seattle, but I'm in Idaho three or four miles over the border from Spokane. Welcome to the forums.

Well, my average has dropped to 24sec. Still practicing F2L, and I've started learning full OLL (12/57 complete). I'll definitely check out that facebook group. In the meantime, here's a quick solve video. Thanks for the encouragement.

Someone else recorded me solving it on the bus. That solve was around 22sec. Hopefully I'll be sub 20 by the end of summer.

I lawled at the vidoe. They act like solving it is actually really hard.

But Welcome!

Well, solving it IS really hard. At least without help it is. And the majority of people have not thought to search "how to solve a rubik's cube", and merely tried to work it out themselves.

The problem is that I haven't seen any updates on the UW cube club facebook group. So I don't even know if they're still meeting. I just joined it because I found it.
