New Cube Review site

You miss spelled caused under the cubing terms-popping section

EDIT: I see a few mistakes so I will post them here in a full list

The GuHong shows a fangshi cube as the picture when you click on the reviews for it (but not on the main review page)

Not sure if this is a problem as they still may be in production but the Zanchi and Guhong don't have a * by their name.

The dayan 2x2 is un-clickable

The rubik's cube should not get a 4/5... Just because it has a great popping and corner twisting score does not mean it's a good cube... Maybe the overall should be given a little tweaking (although it is the speed edition)

The original rubik's brand should not get a 3/5! S. Boucke gave 1 more in speed than S Liu and his review is 2 stars higher! The overall system needs to be tweaked!

there are plenty of cubes that should be there but aren't this may just be because you have not gotten to it though

Thank you. This is exactly what I need.

X GuHong image fixed
X DaYan 2x2 now clickable
I assumed they were still in production. I will look into it, but I haven't seen anything yet that says they have stopped.

As for the review scores. The overall is a personal preference along with the other scores and not an average of the rest. It may make it a bit confusing, but I can see many people who would say a cube is a 5-star cube, but have some corner twisting issues (I'm looking at you Along v1 users), or that a slower cube is still a great cube since it may be more controllable. I can see the issue this causes, but I feel this gives the reviewer more control over what they feel about the cube. The numbers could look quite off right now compared to how you feel it should be but hopefully after there are multiple reviews the average numbers will be more relatable from one cube to the next. So since the one review for the new Rubiks is 4 out of 5, after a few more reviews the average overall might go down.

When reviews come in there are times when I think "I don't agree with that at all" but it is just one person's opinion. I do watch for joke posts and do not allow them on the site.

Once I get a few more reviews for a single cube I will post the average on the page, and after there are a few cubes that have those averages I will create a "top rated" page. I do not know how long it will take for that to happen though

Yes, there are many cubes that are missing. I hope to have the site completely ready by the beginning of April. Until then I will have the "Beta" stamp on the top and the "under construction" text over some pages. I figured I would get it going and get some help from the community while doing it.

Thank you. If you see any more things please let me know. I tend to make more spelling errors than I would like to when working on websites.

Maybe you should give a message with a guide line on how to do the overall... Because some of the overalls just don't add up at all. I mean if they give a reason in the review section that's one thing but really all the cubes (including the rubik's brand) get their overall WAY inflated

EDIT: option 2

EDIT: option 2

I changed all of the ratings to yellow stars. I do agree it is easier to read. I think I may use the colored ones for averages or something like all red for average so it stands out. I added an instruction when you hover over the overall box stating it is an overall feeling and not an average of the 5. I created another review site a couple years ago relating to violin strings. There are over 100 reviews at this point and the lowest rated strings average around 3 stars. I expect that on this site as well. Once more come in the strings will be more easily comparable to each other.

Thank you. I appreciate the input.

I prefer the colored stars it makes it easier to recognize.

I'm going back and forth on it. It separates each category more, but I'm afraid it takes the "sleekness" away from the site. If enough people also say they prefer the color stars I'll change it to that.

Great idea. I think it would be useful to be able to list the cubes by type and sort them by average rating.

I was looking at the "sorting by type. Once I get more cubes in the site I might have a button to switch them around. It'll be easier for me to build the one page and then edit it later than build both at the same time.

As far as averages go I am planning on making a "best of" page after more reviews rolling. The site is not totally automated and because of that a "sorting by averages" would be a ridiculous amount of work, altering it after almost every review comes in.
