'NEW' alternate illustrated solution to Rubik's cube puzzle

There's nothing really wrong with E moves, you're just not used to them (and when I say "you" I mean the community). A lot of the really fast corners firsters from way back when had some really nice fingertricks using <E,R> and similar.

NEW method

The method is very different. Instead of becoming quite restricted around the end, you have a lot more freedom to complete the puzzle. I think the method can be improved by just doing the corner pieces first. Once I understand the notion of 'twists' (defined in my booklet), I think I can accelerate the method and half the time it takes to do the cube. The booklet is professionally produced and I am not making much on selling them. I just want to get this method out there and maybe we can work together to improve the method further. cheers George Christos

hi, its george christos here. i know jamie simpson. he was my best friend when i was at curtin university. the booklet is not for making money but to get me to get it out in a readable fashion. looks like i will only print 20 copies anyhow. if you get a scanned copy it will still cost you to print in colour, maybe in hindsight i should have just posted a pdf file but i have 20-3=17 nicely produced copies of the booklet left, and that is all. i am unlikely to print any more now. george

If you really want to get this method out there, you should post your method on the internet for free, and make a couple of tuturial videos.
ok, i bloody will but once i sell most of the 20 copies. i guess i better give my sons one each, so make that 18.

once i sell the 20 booklets i printed i might post the thing on the internet for all you tight-ass bastards...might....amd i might make some tutorial videos to....once again....might, but might not too, if you people keep pissing on me.

I don't think any one has said anything negative about your method after the initial confusion about it. It seems novel and interesting to me.

I think you're reacting to some of the "new generation" attitude of "everything should be free!". Knowledge has not always been as easy to come by as it is today. Kids seem to think that it's always been like this, when it clearly has not. This frustrates me a great deal. It's difficult to explain this to those that have grown up with the Internet, have cell phones at age 10, and generally don't have to work very hard to find the information they want.

So perhaps your efforts to sell your solution have fallen on mostly deaf ears. That's too bad, but your method should still be seen; at least in my opinion. Best of luck in however you choose to pursue this.

Brian.

I'd rather you didn't show us.

i agree. i was reacting. anyhow here is the latest. i wasn't making any money from these 20 copies i initially printed but as i have sold a few (especially today) i will print 500 copies and after i sell them, i will put the pdf file on the internet for people to see. hope you are patient. lol. i will also add a youtube tutorial videos for those who buy the booklet and send them some new ideas for really speeding the method up, which i am currently thinking about. i must find out what all these e moves and m moves are. interesting lingo. i appreciate being allowed to add to this site. sorry fro over-reacting. i wish you all well. i look forward to getting my hands on some of these other weird cubes that are out there. george christos
