I have been solving the cube using LBL with Keyhole. I have a best time of 1:05. I am wasting a lot of time on the top layer though and I am looking for some help. My solve goes as follows

1) Solve cross
2) Key hole 2nd layer
3) Solve last layer cross and align top edges
4) Align last layer corners
5) Twist last layer corners

Where I waste a lot of time is twisting the last layer corners. I am using a RI,Di,R, D algorithm to do this. Is there an algorithm for each scenario to solve the top corners after the top edges have been solved? Every method that I see, the corners are solved before the edges.

any suggestion on how to look ahead using LBL?? i believe some can do it sub30.. i have "OK" finger tricks..

Pick you Leyan Lo's method. It is good for beginners, and expands to the OLL/PLL easy, for when you're ready for that.

that's pretty good description. Clearly its aimed at only solving the cube not actually doing it for speed, even remotely :) which is ok

and you will not be able to do sub30 LBL method. I think Erik put a video up on YouTube about this to confuse everyone around the world into thinking that they can do it too and that they need not learn new things. The truth is that learning those new things will make your times MUCH lower MUCH faster. Yes it is indeed possible to do LBL in 30 seconds but you would be foolish to try and do it.

dont try to improve your lookahead just yet. Thats something you will actually train only when you are down to 30 seconds or so. Learn new methods: F2L, start learning more PLLs and OLLs slowly. Other stuff will come with it and while you learn those you will get faster.

@badmephisto

just bookmarked and added your ituitive f2l on youtube.. you've been a great help..

i already know 4 LLL (although i am only one g perm short for 3 LLL).. i've been cubing for just over a month so i think i should improve ( i have a Dian Sheng cube, not sure if as good as cube4you)... but i think a 5 second cross will make my times really good.. can't wait to post my first sub-1 min..
