i am learning cfop from dan harris' book and i would like some alternative algs that dont include cube rotations for the oll and pll's (they confuse me).

thank you

Considering you don't list what OLLs and PLLs you're struggling with in particular, I can only point you in the direction of places like cubefreak, Bob burton's site, cubezone and cutexcuber. If you look around, it shouldn't be too hard to find some more good sites.

Also, as a note, it might be best to look around for the alg the best suits you for each case. I wish I'd done this before, as now I'm stuck in my ways with less efficient algs.

How does cube rotations confuse you?

i just have to think about them alot which slows my solve times
That just means you need to practice them more.

You could take out the rotations yourself if it helps. For example, people usually do the cube rotation to enable finger tricks: x' R U R' U', e.g. If the x' confuses you, then rewrite the algorithm as F U F' U'.

But really, with a bit more practice you won't be thinking about the notation, just executing the algorithm.

Search "Cube notation" on Google, and in the first couple of links it should say "nascarjon.us" or something "notation"...

It lists x, y and z rotations, since that's where I learned mine (Hooray for full PLL! <3).

Just re-write the algs to where in stead of rotating it just switches the turns.

EX:

Aa: x' R' D R' U2 R D' R'U2 R2

Turns into:

Aa: R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2

So just do the alg as if you where looking from another angle.

Umm,

This is from 2009...
