Does anyone know how Nakajima consistantly sets up a PLL skip? I remember reading somewhere, I think it was on his youtube channel that he can do PLL skip X/X times (don't remember). anyway, does anyone know how he does this?

I'm not aware of this.
But if you use VHF2L and COLL, it is an easy way (few algorithms) to get 8/12 U perms, 2/12 Z perms, 1/12 H perms, 1/12 PLL skip.
He does not use this (at least not his main method).
I know that, but I'm going to try and find where I read it. I've seen several videos of him doing PLL skip.

f2l -> vhf2l -> coll -> epll is useless imo. It takes an extra step. However, knowing COLL is useful if you have a cross oll to begin with. It replaces that oll and gives you either a pll skip or an easy pll
however, i dont think its helpful to learn coll before you learn olls if you are a fridrich solver. coll is more of an extra option.

I think it's worth it. I like to learn useful algs, not blindly learn patterns. VHF2L is useful and interesting. It can be used as the ELS in MGLS. There are many directions to go from there. I disliked OLL from the beginning, not because I can't memorize algs, but that I think that step is wasteful. VHF2L is easy, intuitive and can be sub-1 second. COLL can be useful in FMC. EPLL can be done in less than one second, so I don't even really count it. I do every thing I can to avoid learning the OLLs, even it means learning more algs like MGLS.
