Idk if the Video works completely, it is my first ever video I recorded. I was nervous, I did 50 retakes and this is the best I can do for now. I am redoing a new one now as you read. Any review comments that can help me get better would be great. IF the video quality or video it self is not good. Please tell me.

Here is a second one I did, just incase first one don't work.

BTW sorry for the angle, I am using my PS3 Eye Video camera so I can't place it on top of my head like Badmephisto.

Alright. It works now. First off, considering you just started about a month ago, you're doing great. Second, I'm not very fast at all, so my advice is probably not the best.

So, as you said, everything is kind of going at a mediocre speed. Your cross, f2l, last layer, could all be executed faster. For the cross, try to plan at least some of it out in your head before you start the timer so that you don't have to look for each individual piece. For f2l, just practice more so that you are more familiar with it, but don't try to turn as fast as you can. This will cause pauses (which you seem to be lacking now, which is VERY good), which will horribly slow you down. For last layer, I don't think now is the time to really focus on it. The more solves you do, the better and faster your execution will become. Practice is the only way your last layer will get faster. Well, if you'd like you could learn full oll (or pll, I'm not sure if you are using 2-look).

So, my advice: Just keep solving, keeping in mind to not turn as fast as you can. Try to plan your cross out before the solve, during inspection.

Hope this helps, and try to get some other people's advice as well.

Ya, as was mentioned, everything is at a mediocre pace, just practicing will slowly improve them all. As for more specific things, at like 1:34 you did something like a y3 rotation, obviously those kind of unnecessary things are bad. Another example of this is for your PLL, you aligned the corners and then had to cube rotate again to get in position to do the alg. I am sort of guilty of this myself but we should both work on recognizing and executing the alg in not "aligned" positions. Also you did have some reasonably large pauses in F2L between the pairs, work on reducing that. Also you should learn full PLL if you don't know it. 2L OLL is fine for a while, but you will probably want to learn it eventually as well (I am in the process myself). Good progress overall so far though, great job! :)

I use 2 look OLL with Full pll. The cross solving is the hardest for me to do as you may of noticed when I messed up, it was because of my cross. Ive been practicing F2L with a metronome at slow beats to help my look ahead. Is there any other practice techniques or strategies I can do to help me out?

Just to add, I did a cross formation alg to car OLL to a U Perm

As many people will tell you, for cross just sit with it and try to plan it out, regardless of how long it takes, don't start until you have got it. This exercise along with simply practicing (trying to figure out as much of it as possible during inspection) will eventually help it. I personally used a metronome for a bit, it wasn't terrible, but I didn't find it helped much either. One easy thing I found helped reduce pauses in my f2l a lot is to during slow solves not finish your current f2l pair until you have spotted both the edge and corner of the next one. Eventually your brain catches on to what you are doing and it becomes much easier to do during real solves.

Hey! I have the same time as you are 2 months ago.Right now I'm averaging around 18-23 I used 2 look and full PLL,I just solve my cube while watching T.V,Doing my Homework, etc.. in other word I solve my cube every time. There is no special trick to get faster, Just keep solving it and learn some OLL every other day.good luck!

Ive Heard of this technique before, never tried it but I will now

I actually cube whenever possible. always have two cubes on me so Im pretty consistant. I took a small 3 day break while read the entire Hunger Games trilogy, but even during the break I was doing short solves.
