I have vista (I customized it, so it's actually not bad, it's more like a high-tech XP now...)
I recently updated Java, and now it doesn't recognize CCT.jar as something that can be opened with Java, I doubt reinstalling it will work, as it's a system error... I checked to make sure I had installed Java correctly, but it didn't work.
Help anyone?

Can any one help me with this:

Couldn't find file!
C:\Documents and Settings\Rob Mucklow\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Directory 5 for cct-0.9.3.zip\cct-0.9.3\profiles\defaults.properties
Couldn't find file!
C:\Documents and Settings\Rob Mucklow\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Directory 5 for cct-0.9.3.zip\cct-0.9.3\guiLayouts

That is what it says when I open CCT

Looks like you are trying to run CCT without extracting it first. You need to extract the zip-file to a folder on your hdd first.

And this thing you did are called thread hijacking :P

I am sorry I didn't know

Thanks for your help, but it still isn't working, I tried to reDL java, but it said I was totally updated, and Ved, I tried to reinstall, but that didn't work either... so annoying...

Hm, what about right clicking on the .jar, going to "Open with..." and choosing Java Runtime Environment (or whatever it's called on your system)?

You can check that the java install is working by trying to run from the command prompt:
for example, my CCT is on a thumb drive which mounts to y:

start->run->cmd [enter]
Code:
y:
cd cct-0.9.3
java -jar CALCubeTimer.jar
