so i recently bought a rubiks 2.0 to see how well it worked and i ended up making it my practice cube to better learn CFOP, but recently the screw for the yellow center keeps loosening and i was wondering what i can do to fix the situation.

You will have to buy a new core. The threads for the screw to hold on to inside the core have been stripped, so the screw slowly loosens as time goes on.

If you have a better cube that you aren't using specifically for CFOP practice currently, I'd recommend using your main/best 3x3 for your practice. Even if you think the rougher turning of the Rubik's brand will help your finger strength, the quality disparity between both cubes when you return to your better cube will be more dramatic than the negligible strength benefits of using a slower cube. If you're concerned about deterioration of the better cube from overuse, then you can lube it periodically with speedcubing lube as it begins to feel dry or scratchy.
If your Rubik's 2.0 is your only/best cube, then I'd recommend buying a better speedcube from an online retailer (such as thecubicle.us) rather than buying a new core for the Rubik's 2.0.

The obvious solution would be to use liquid threadlock (nutlock, studlock), choosing a type that would allow adjustment afterwards - some are more permanent than others. For example Loctite 242:

The stuff can be expensive, ask around any relatives/friends who might work in engineering/motor trade/modelling hobbyist etc.

One possible problem is lubricant contamination of the screw / core hole, preventing the locking compound sticking.
